February 2nd MAPP

MAPP is a familia, a community and a series of arts, music and activist events that has been taking place in the Mission for over 14 years. MAPP is always the first Saturday of the month every two months. MAPP is always free. Mapp will be encompassing over 14 venues as well as public spaces, street corners, bart stations, cafes, bars, taquerias, homes all over La Mission. The event features taking common spaces and for one orchestrated beautifully chaotic evening, transforming them into whatever we want: including free live music, Spoken word, Performance art, Film screenings, BBQ's, garage sales, unorthodox conversations and happenings.

December 1st MAPP

MAPP Potluck!! Please bring something to eat, something to drink and be ready to dance, jam celebrate and organize the revolution.

This is also the absolute latest date to submit your program for MAPP venues: In order to be included in the printed and online MAPP program we need this information in this order. Email entry to

  4. Beginning AND ending time for each performer. Followed by name of performer and a 3 to 4 word description.

  5. If you have a visual exhibition. Please include the name of exhibition, artist and 3 word description.

Please ONLY include a 3 to 4 word description of each artist. It is always difficult to fit all the venues in the program. And it is time consuming for our all volunteer MAPP crew to have to edit each entry.

MAPP is a community arts and music event that takes place in the Mission for 12 years. MAPP is always the first Saturday of the month every two months. MAPP is always free. Mapp will be encompassing over 14 venues as well as public spaces, street corners, bart stations, cafes, bars, taquerias,homes all over La Mission. August 6th is the anniversay of the US dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima Japan. The MAPP community would like to honor the memory of those innocent lives and hope to draw attention to this date to address the growing militarization happening all over the world.
